Creative Computing and Design Learning

We introduce the related concepts of algorithms and computational thinking, considering the ways in which we already use algorithms and learning to describe everyday routines algorithmically. We then play with algorithms, first through real-world games and board games, then on the computer with Scratch, Alice, BYOB and Python. 
 

Goals:

• Students will be comfortable and confident with computer science concepts and technology.

•  Students will learn to think algorithmically.

•  Students will appreciate that different programs have different strengths and weaknesses.
